Being based at one of their underground operations in Central Queensland you will enjoy living in a friendly community and working Monday to Friday. You will receive highly subsidized housing and will be only a couple of hours from the coast and large regional centers.

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager you will be responsible for ensuring ventilation is planned and implemented to comply with all statutory requirements. Specific duties will include:

Ensuring the quality of the mine air is measured and recorded, monitoring and reviewing the activities of ventilation to minimise any negative impact on the environment.

You will be:

• Taking charge of any ventilation system change in the mine
• Ensuring that the ventilation control devices are properly constructed
• Ensuring the ventilation and gas modeling for the mine is updated, managing the gas drainage operation at the mine
• Developing and maintaining the ventilation budget by managing activities within the budget plans
• Manage projects that are associated with ventilation and gas drainage

To be considered for this role as a minimum you will need:

• Tertiary qualifications in Mine Engineering
• Ventilation Officer's ticket
• Previous experience in a similar role
• A strong focus on safety
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
