Salary: $100,000.00 to $200,000.00 Yearly for 37.5 hours per week

Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of university
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association, Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
Experience: 5 years or more
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Area of Specialization: Underground or surface mine design or construction, Extraction and processing
Work Experience: Design, Project management, Project planning, Operations or production, Quality assurance or control, Specification or technical writing, Management and administration
Design Specialization: Mine shafts and hoists, Mine ventilation, Mine services, Blasting and materials handling, Mining equipment and machinery design, Mineral treatment machinery and equipment, Waste and tailings disposal, Land reclamation
Type of Mine Experience: Underground mines, Surface mines or quarries, Ferrous metals, Base metals, Precious metals, Uranium
Work Setting: Consulting engineering company
Specific Skills: Conduct studies of ore, mineral or coal deposits to assess the feasibility of mining operations, Determine the appropriate means of safely and efficiently mining deposits, Advise on drilling and blasting methods for mining, construction or demolition, Design shafts, ventilation and haulage systems, Plan and design or select mining equipment and machinery, and mineral treatment machinery and equipment, Plan and supervise the development, operation and maintenance of mines, Prepare operations and project estimates, schedules and reports, Implement and co-ordinate mine safety programs
Additional Skills: Supervise and co-ordinate the work of technicians, technologists, survey personnel and other engineers and scientists
