THE ROLE
A major international oil and gas operating company has requested CCL to provide an Intervention Engineer on rotational basis to be based in Luanda. 12 month (renewable) contract. Must be prepared to travel as required by client. Excellent rates and remuneration package.
THE PERSON
Ideal candidate would be an experienced subsea project engineer. Primary role is to provide the onshore preparation and continued support for offshore and installation activities. Close working relationship is expected within the subsea team between the engineers, rotational subsea supervisors, well services, completions and drilling engineers and supervisors. Plan and execute the running of subsea wellhead systems including trees, associated tools, controls and ROV operations. Supporting role in completion operations, during the preparation, running and operation of tubing hanger, subsea test tree, completion and work over riser.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Minimum Degree level qualified in an engineering discipline. Chartered Engineer or should be working towards chartered status. Promote safety in all aspects of manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, testing, planning and operations. Define / oversee work plan, participate and take a lead related to the Onshore bases, Rig / Vessel safety programmes. Interface with Wells Team. Provide training support. Liaise with subsea facilities construction team / subsea contractor. Prepare installation procedures in sufficient detail to examine the potential risks and hazards involved during the installation activities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Experience of multicultural project teams.
