Provide day to day commercial, contractual and administrative support to the Project Procurement Lead on the Asgaard Subsea Compression Project.

Responsibilities and tasks 

• Responsible for the commercial, contractual and administrative aspects of the Controls Work Package
• Responsible for continuous updating and forecasting of main developments on each procurement package, prior to and after placement of PO
• Responsible for communicating main developments on the Controls Procurement Package work scope. 
• Maintain supplier correspondence logs
• Lead supplier project kick off meetings where required.
• Interfacing with the Procurement operations team – namely the buyers
• Interfacing and maintaining the relationship with the Commodity Management Team.
• To establish and maintain a process for regular, effective and efficient follow-up / expediting.
• Interfacing with key suppliers.
• Provide Project specific procurement training to the procurement operations team
• Fulfil HSE responsibilities in line with Aker Solutions policy’s and management system.
• Assist Procurement and Vendor Management as required.

Qualifications & personal attributes 

• Business Degree / CIPS Qualified or HNC/HND with relevant industry experience.
• Working knowledge in Word, Windows and Excel.
• Working knowledge in SAP.
• Ability to work offshore and overseas.
• Demonstrable experience in purchasing / supply chain
• Ability to accurately report discussions and negotiations, in writing post-meeting
• Ability to deliver presentations to key suppliers
• Ability to operate effectively in a team environment
• Capable of working to strict deadlines
• Ability to travel as required and up to 30% of the working week.
• Assist others as required.
• Ability to lead, encourage, train and support vendors in order for them to meet their objectives.
• Develop external networks and identify resources as and when necessary.
• Be able to work as part of a team and exercise tolerance, consistency and when dealing with others.
• Make decisions as required whilst at the same time ensuring all actions are followed through.
• Be able to establish, develop and maintain customer relations whilst providing a high level of internal and external customer satisfaction.
