The webmaster role will facilitate the planning, construction, development and maintenance stages of in support of Peabody Energy’s employee portal, public facing web sites, and collaboration environments.  The WebMaster will monitor, improve, and update the performance of existing Web sites in support of Peabody Energy’s mission. 

Principal Accountabilities: 

• Establish governance and ownership model for Peabody’s portal, web site, and collaboration environments. 
• Edits, reviews, and updates the web content on the websites at regular intervals. 
• Establish communication and training plans and user manuals for educating users on portal and web site usage, governance, and ownership. 
• Gain understanding on Peabody business requirements, structure, and processes and designs site to best support that structure. Plan for future changes to the website. 
• Review statistics and monitor analytics of site usage to identify opportunities for improvements in site usability and functionality. 
• Monitors site traffic and helps scale site capacity to meet traffic demands and performance expectations. 
• Manages and configures site security to ensure 
• Performs backups and ensures user accessibility to the site. 
• Improves the portal’s efficiency and designs the look and feel for the site. 
• Manage and configure user access and permissions to the various sites. 
• Review and cleanup stale accounts, content, and sites. 
• Keep up with changes in technical standards that could have an impact on how the website works. 
• Conduct assessments of user satisfaction with the existing sites. 
• Work closely with the security team to safeguards sites from intrusions or other vulnerabilities.

Job Requirements:

• The webmaster must possess excellent people skills to explain the project to the employees in the other divisions. 
• Possess good programming knowledge and have basic idea of all the programming languages. 
• They must be able to handle multiple tasks at a time and carryout them effectively. 
• Possess strong managerial skills. 
• Possess good customer service skills to communicate with clients visiting the company in a polite and proper manner. 
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of experience. 
• Works well under general supervision. 
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. 
• Experience with SharePoint 2010 administration. 
• Experience with a variety of web content management tools are a plus.
