Job description:

Non Product Related (NPR) Goods and Services consists of the following categories: marketing services, travel, information technology, telecoms, facilities management, business consulting, capital expenditure, workshop equipment and services, waste management, utilities, property services, logistics and other project related spend.

This role includes understanding local business objectives, engaging and challenging internal customers, understanding options and risks associated with P2P (Purchase to Pay) activities.

The P2P Operational Procurement Specialist will be responsible for the effective management of the p2p process who will support the delivery of operational procurement requirements.
 Manage the P2P process for the Americas region and all businesses (Auto and AIME - Aviation, Industrial, Marine and Energy), set compliance targets/plan and drive compliance to meet the business objectives.
 Manage and maintain the daily operational procurement activity, responsible for all new and existing processes relating to P2P.
 Supervise the procurement coordinators (3+), associated workload, escalation point for P2P related operational activity discrepancies, set objectives/goals, development plans, progression planning.
 Ensures supplier rate cards are in place, active, and addresses any pricing discrepencies directly with the suppliers through negotiations.
 Develop p2p training documents and conduct training sessions with team members, employees and suppliers.
 Manage the compliance reports, address and report the monthly compliance statistics to finance and members of the ALT, conduct one on one session as appropriate to drive an increase in compliance.
 Identify potential risks in supplier contracts, monitor contracts compliance and ends dates; supports the procurement contract compliance initiative and uploads contracts in the Oyster system.
 Ensure continuity and consistency by maintaining a tight linkage between the R&M Indirect Procurement (IP) Team and business.
 Interact with cross functional teams and all levels of employees consistently to discuss compliance, KPI’s, P2P improvements, value of the P2P, risks, savings and working capital opportunities
 Responsible to track, analyze, report and monitor KPIs for NPR spend through reporting tools in JDE, Showcase and Oyster.
 Generate data reports and conduct analysis to identify multiple opportunities that can deliver value to BP and to aid in the development of the strategic procurement teams project planning and objectives (efficiency, savings and working capital).
 Manage the new vendor set up process and ensure all requirements are met (MCE, ACDD, High Risk suppliers, Contractor Assurance policy, etc).
 Update and maintain the preferred supplier listing to include Indirect Procurement (IP) approved suppliers, lead the implementation of new suppliers being introduced into the business.
 Responsible for identifying and implementing new processes and tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the P2P process to add value to BP (efficiency, costs, etc).
 Lead for the operational procurement team in the support of the new ERP system deployment, will modify the p2p processes to fit with the change in capabilities.
 Set DOA levels for the procurement coordinators and manages the team to ensure business and procurement compliance to the DofA for all requisitions and sourcing.
 Ordering Authority for P2P activity for the Americas business.
 Engage BSC to obtain PCard reports on a monthly basis to identify opportunities for the strategic procurement team.
 Generate, analyze, and identify risks (Financial health, contract, etc) and opportunities through monthly reporting of KPI’s provided to the NPR regional strategic procurement team (contract compliance, spend analysis, payment terms, HSSE).
 Deliver financial (savings and working capital) benefits to BP to support annual objectives, develop annual objectives (HSSE, Compliance, Cost and Cash, Innovative, People and Service/Quality) and plan for following year.
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline, preferrably Marketing or Supply Chain.A minimum of 5 years of experience in operational procurement.
