Role synopsisThe role reports to the Well Operations Manager and is a member of the D&C ELT. The D&C Advisor provides daily support to the Wells Operations Manager for Safe and Compliant OperationsKey accountabilities- Assures HSE performance delivery, including offshore & Sonils base visits, Incident Investigations & HSE audits
- Drives compliance at the wellsite with the relevant elements of OMS/DWOP and ETP’s.
- Assists Well Operations Manager in follow-up of audit findings and root cause failure analysis for major NPT events.
- Assists Well Operations Manager with periodic audits of Well Control equipment, practises and compliance with GP10-10.
- Assures compliance with RAPIDS for Decision Rights during Execute Phase
- Stands-in for WTL’s and WSL’s as required
- Supports the Operations Teams in problem solving and risk mitigation planning sessions.
- Drives standardisation and simplification across the Wells Operations Teams
- Ensures relevant Lessons Learnt are shared between Operations Teams and that Continuous Improvement process is being actively used at the risk sight to optimise and reduce risk.
- Represents Operations in contract strategy development and bid evaluations. Assists the SPM process.
-Operations input into D&C assurance for OBO
- Support the WOM and WTL’s in development of staff, with a focus on coaching and mentoring of national staff for WSL role.Essential EducationWell Control Certification (IADC, IWCF, etc.).Essential experience and job requirements- Substantial experience in wells operations as well as managing wells operations
- Demonstrable HSSE leadership.
- Experience in managing third party contractors.
- Experience of deepwater operations
- Demonstrable capabilities of leading, developing, training and coaching less experienced drilling personnelDesirable criteria & qualifications- Experience of working in a multi-cultural organisation
- Demonstrable leadership of safety programs for drilling operations and participate fully in developing HSE culture.
- Proven track record as strong team player.
- Flexible approach to work and clear time management skills.
- Aptitude to innovate and be open to new ideas, networking and global technical knowledge sharing.
- Offshore operational drilling and completions experience on semisubmersible rigs or drillships, experience of dynamic positioned operations.
