POSITION SUMMARY
This new hands on/advisory position will provide and ensure provision of high quality Geoscience support to the appraisal, development and reservoir management of the Company assets. The individual will assist with new business development activities, functional initiatives, and management of technical work carried out by specialist consultancies. Key areas of resource involvement are in conventional and unconventional activities.

The individual will assist in ensuring effective implementation of resource technical development and production processes, compliance to standards, workflows, tools and best practices used in the geoscience evaluation of company resources.

REQUIRED OUTPUTS: FUNCTIONAL (The core content and deliverables of the position)
- Provide consistent, detailed and integrated Geoscience interpretations for operated and non-operated fields in partner meetings and through peer assists and reviews.
- Ensure static reservoir models are constructed accurately and at the appropriate level of detail, incorporating structural, stratigraphic and reservoir characterization.
- Provide sound Geoscience input to ensure safe, optimal and cost effective data acquisition in drilling programmes, fulfilling all objectives.
- Carry out studies and provide Geoscience input into field evaluation, reservoir and field development studies and plans.
- Sanction fully integrated Geoscience work flows with other disciplines to achieve full understanding of economic development options

SPECIFIC TECHNICAL EXPERTISE AND EXPERIENCE
Extensive expertise and/or understanding of the following group sets of skills is required:
- Geophysics: All applications of acquisition, processing and interpretation applied at the reservoir level (SMT, Petrel)
- Geology: full abilities and experience in reservoir characterization including model building, scale-up and simulation. (SMT, Petrel)
- Petrophysics: Well log correlation, litho- and chrono-stratigraphic interpretation, petrophysical estimation of reservoir parameters (porosity, permeability, fluid phase saturation), core and cuttings description, sampling, testing procedures, geomechanics, data management, handling and display of digital files, and analysis, planning, selection, and specification of well logging programmes
- Exploration: familiarity with exploration workflows, data acquisition techniques, prospect maturation workflows, and handover variables for development geoscientists upon establishing commerciality of field
- Current understanding of digital integration of geoscience interpretation and static modelling is required. Kingdom and Petrel software expertise is desirable
- Experience in reservoir management and development, and full field development studies is required
- Experience in partnership/JV operations is required
- Knowledge of gridding and contouring methods, geostatistical analysis, geodetic data would be an advantage

- 10+ years of industry experience is required (5 years in Development / production)
- MSc or PhD in Petroleum Geology or Petroleum Geophysics is desirable.
