Our Wastewater Treatment Plant Operations Supervisors:

  • Supervises the operation, repair and maintenance of a 2 MGD advanced wastewater treatment plant consisting of headworks, oxidation ditch, secondary clarifiers, filtration, disinfection and recycled water operations.
  • Performs process control and other calculations necessary for the orderly operations of the treatment facilities.
  • Diagnoses operating problems and create and supervise corrective measures.
  • Supervise and give instructions and assignments to assigned employees.
  • Prepares work schedules subject to approval of Associate Project Manager.
  • Continuously monitors employee performance for assigned employees, including performing employee evaluations and disciplinary actions.
  • Leads the safety program for the areas where responsible and the employees assigned.
  • Uses computer applications such as Microsoft Office applications to provide effective communications, and reports to the Project, clients and regulators.

  • Provides coverage for other managers and supervisors in their absence, as needed.
  • Performs other duties as required.


Working Conditions:

  • The work area can involve exposure to inclement weather, loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical shock and vibration, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, toxic and explosive gases, infection and blood-borne pathogens.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, twist and bend at the waist, turn, kneel, squat, raise arms above shoulder height, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements and fine coordination to work on equipment, have vision sufficient to service equipment, and have hearing in the normal range with or without correction.
  • During a shift must be able to transport self across the facility, ascend and descend stair steps, lift objects up to 50 pounds from floor level to waist height, use various tools and equipment; wear and use appropriate safety equipment.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 7-10 years experience in the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Minimum California Grade IV Wastewater Operator certification (active).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid California driver's license.

Working under the limited supervision of team leaders and senior engineers, the successful candidate will make a significant contribution to the day-to-day preparation and delivery of technical design information, reports and drawings. Project work will typically cover: highway alignment and junction design, utilities planning, drainage design (including SUDS and attenuation), highways and drainage adoption procedures, earthworks modelling, preparation of tender and contract documentation preparation, construction supervision and large multi-disciplinary planning applications. The key responsibilities / accountabilities of this position are:

  • Liaise with public and private sector clients, third party organisations and stakeholders
  • Provide input to key project control documentation such as cost plans and programmes

Basic Qualifications

Our Hazardous Materials Technicians:

  • In a warehouse and field setting, provide daily support to base generators by receiving and or/collecting, processing and managing universal wastes, recyclable wastes/materials, Hazardous Materials Excess Reutilization (HazMER) Program materials, and other non-regulated and non-hazardous wastes at the Consolidation Recycling Universal Waste Facility (CRUW) in accordance with local, DoD, State and Federal procedures and requirements
  • Assist teammates in cleanup of hazardous waste spills utilizing up to Level B personal protective equipment; collect and process samples; and receive, collect, process and manage hazardous wastes at various federal facilities
  • Manage all aspects of hazardous waste initial accumulation points and 90 day sites
  • Complete all required documentation pertaining to the tracking/reporting of all universal wastes, recyclables and hazardous wastes and other HM and wastes collected or received
  • Coordinate the shipment of universal wastes for proper disposal and/or recycling with off base contractors

Additional information: This position requires US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Security Clearance. Some work may be after normal work hours or over partial weekends as required.

Basic Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of related work experience
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 70 pounds
  • Willing and able to work under hot or cold weather conditions
  • Must have working knowledge of basic office software, and be able to write a simple but concise monthly report
  • This position requires US Citizenship, the ability to obtain a secret clearance, the ability to pass a mandatory pre-employment drug test

Preferred Qualifications

  • Outgoing and customer service oriented, self-motivated, and able to work safely with minimum supervision
  • Knowledge of RCRA and DOT hazmat/waste rules and requirements preferred
  • Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred
  • Two to three years hazardous materials/waste related work experience
  • Forklift and CDL certification desired
